Refund policy
14-day right of withdrawal
You may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. The period starts on the day you, or someone you appoint, receive the goods. If an order arrives in several parcels, it starts on the day you receive the last one.
Cancel an order
You can cancel your order at any time until it is dispatched, without signing in. Use the link "Cancel or withdraw an order" at the bottom of every page. If the order has not been dispatched, it is cancelled and refunded in full. If it has already been dispatched, you are sent on to our returns portal.
Return an order
Within 14 days of delivery, start your return in our returns portal: use the link "Returns & exchanges" at the bottom of every page. Enter your order number and email address, choose the items, and choose a refund, an exchange or a gift card. The portal asks for a reason, but you do not have to give one: "Changed my mind" is enough. If the portal no longer accepts your order before 14 days after delivery have passed, write to us and we will help you return it.
Other ways to withdraw
You do not have to use the returns portal. You can also send us a clear statement before the 14 days have passed, by email to contact@cavedepartment.com. You may use the withdrawal form below, but you do not have to. It is enough that you send your statement before the deadline.
Returning the goods
Send the goods back no later than 14 days after you have registered your return or told us you are withdrawing.
- From Denmark: free for an exchange or a gift card; DKK 49 for a refund. The portal gives you a QR code; show it at any PostNord service point. No printing needed.
- From the rest of Europe: free for an exchange or a gift card; DKK 99 for a refund. Print the label and drop the parcel off with the carrier shown on it.
- From the rest of the world: free for an exchange or a gift card; DKK 299 for a refund. Print the label and drop the parcel off with UPS.
The portal shows the price for your country before you confirm. The label fee is deducted from your refund. If you return an item you have already exchanged, the label fee applies whether you choose a refund, an exchange or a gift card: it is deducted from your refund or from the gift card's value, and for an exchange you pay it by payment link before the label is created. You may also return the goods another way at your own cost; please include your order number in the parcel.

Exchanges and gift cards
Instead of a refund, you can choose in the returns portal to exchange an item for another size or another product, or to receive a gift card worth the refund amount plus 10%, valid for 12 months. If the new product costs more, you pay the difference by payment link. Exchanges and gift cards are optional; you always have the right to a refund.
Refund
We refund all payments received from you, including the original standard shipping cost, no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal. If you choose a refund and use our return label, the label fee is deducted. We may wait to refund until we have received the goods back, or until you have shown that you have sent them, whichever comes first. The refund is made to the payment method you used, unless you chose an exchange or a gift card.
Condition of the goods
You may handle and try on the items as you would in a shop. If an item has been used beyond that, or labels have been removed, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.
Faulty items
Under Danish law you can complain about faults for 24 months from delivery. Please do not use the returns portal for a faulty or wrong item: write to us at contact@cavedepartment.com within a reasonable time after you discover the fault, and we will send you a free return label.
